"Parola d'Artista"

From 20 July to 29 September at the Piazzetta Reale and Piazza Reale in Milan, it will be possibile to visit Marco Nereo Rotelli's art exhibition, entitled "Parola d'Artista" (Word of the Artist). Bisol is a technical sponsor of the event. On occasion of the opening of the exhibition, Bisol's wines will be served.

On the occasion of the IWC wine competition, Jeio Colmei has been awarded a bronze medal; the Jeio Cuvée brut and Jeio Cartizze both obtained commendations.

Relio Bisol in finals for Topline

The Classic Method Prosecco Relio Bisol has been selected among the 12 finalists on the Topline Competition, promoted by the Forum Spumanti d'Italia.
On the www.forumspumantiditalia.it website, the section in which to vote your preference is already online, and participants can vote until 8 July!
The prizewinners' cerimony in which a technical judging panel will decree the winner together with a special prize for the public's favourite, will take place during the event "Cortina Spumanti" organised by AIS Veneto (Italian Sommeliers Association) in collaboration with the Forum Spumanti d'Italia. On Saturday 10 July at 16.00 the magnificent Miramonti Majestic Grand Hotel in Cortina D'Ampezzo will host the prizewinners' cerimony.

Bisol sabres with Champagne

Bisol Strikes with Champagne in Venice and in the heart of Prosecco.

On Saturday 3 July at the Duca di Dolle and Sumday 4 July at Venissa two dinner-events organised by the history Confraternity of the Golden Sabre will take place: registration is open to become Chevalier Sabreur and to hence perpetuate this historic ritual.

The Confraternity of the Golden Sabre will be hosted at Bisol on Saturday 3 July among the hills of Prosecco, at the Relais Duca di Dolle – official headquarters for the new chevaliers of the Confrérie – and Sunday 4 July in the scenic Venissa Estate on the Venetian island of Mazzorbo, where the Bisol family has recovered a historic walled vineyard and where the wellknown chef Paola Budel's Ristorante Venissa is located.

The dinner-event will be an occasion to learn the secrets of the ancient art of Sabrage and to be officially nominated Chevalier Sabreur, becoming thus a member of the Confrérie. At each of the events, the Grand Maitre Jean Claude Jalloux will be present and will pronounce the solumn rite: “In the name of Noah, father of the vines and of Saint Vincent, protector of the viticulturist, nominate you Chevalier of the Golden Saber for having separated the cork from the bottle with an elegant movement”.

The members of the historic Confraternity, which currently boast over 35000 members from around the world, will arrive from Reims: the tradition of Sabrage dates back to Napoleon, who, together with his soldiers, opened their celebratory bottles of champagne with a strike of the saber after each victory.

There are many famous names in the world of showbiz, food and wine culture and journalism that have participated past editions of this suggestive ritual at the Relais Duca di Dolle: from the actress Linda Batista to the Rai author Carlo Raspollini to Bruno Vespa officially nominated during an episode of Porta a Porta.

On Saturday 3 Juy, the event will take place poolside at the Relais Duca di Dolle, in the heart of the hills of Prosecco in the historic village of Rolle di Cison di Valmarino, elected a punto FAI in 2001. Sunday's event will take place at the Ristorante Venissa and Paola Budel will create a special menu that plays homage to the lagoon culture.

As Gianluca Bisol, already Maitre Chevalier, explains: “Our family holds in esteem and respects high quality wines: Champagne, in the heirarchy of wines, is without doubt a king to which all producers must refer”.

Venice Marathon at Messums Gallery London

Bisol begins their support of the 25th Annual Venice Marathon, with an event at the prestigious Messum's Gallery on Cork Street in London. Camilla Purdon, director of the London art gallery , is taking part in this year's Venice marathon in aid of Venice in Peril.As part of her fund-raising campaign Camilla is organising a Silent Auction including three paintings of Venice that have been generously donated by leading British artists Alan Cotton,  Jane Corsellis and Ken Howard, a magnum of Bisol Crede and many other quality items are on auction.

The results will be announced by John Julius Norwich (John Julius Cooper, 2nd Viscount Norwich CVO is an English historian, travel writer and television personality) at a sold out, fund-raising party at Messum's on 30th June. Jeio will be served through out the evening.
