| The FOL is a famous hilly
zone situated between Santo Stefano and Guia.
It owes its reputation to the soil of marine
sandstone and clay, which give the grapes an
elegantly sapid flavor, fine natural acidity
and outstanding aromas, which are further developed
through cold maceration.
Zone: The Fol hamlet in the
commune of Valdobbiadene in the Veneto’s
Treviso province.
Grapes: Prosecco.
Color: Straw yellow rendered
brilliant by a minute, rich and persistent perlage.
Bouquet: Delicate and lively
notes of wildflowers and fruits meld in a harmonious
complexity of rare finesse.
Flavor: Balanced, sapid and
pleasantly acidulous and fruity.
The wine has 11.5° of alcohol and should
be consumed in its youth.
Serve at 9° C. (48° F.) outside meals
or with light meat and fish dishes.
Recommended goblet: Chalice.
