of hospitality”, at the “Relais
Duca di Dolle”, located
inside an enchanting area of 12 hectars
of vineyards and 10 hectars of woodland,
near Venice and near Cortina, the pearl
of the Dolomites, this is the
ideal place for relaxing.
One part of the house is stilled used
to dry the Prosecco grape which will be
used to produce the famous: Prosecco Passito
Duca di Dolle.
The “Relais Duca di
Dolle” is a beautifully restored
monastery and farmhouse, property of the
Bisol family, grape growers and producers
of the finest Prosecco of Valdobbiadene
since the 1542.
It is a special place for the wine and
food lover, who is able to appreciate
the fruit of this rough and generous territory:
an extraordinary wine.
What is a Relais?
The origins of the word come the
translation of forestiero which
means foreign or foreigner.
Historically the Veneto was a
place favoured by the noble Venetians
as their summer residence, far from
the hot summers of the enchanting
Venetian Lagoon.
In their aristrocratic villas,
the Relais was the place where
the “foreigner” or visitor
stayed. In Italy today, many of
the established wine producers have
a Relais, a guest house,
a place to offer hospitality to
the guests of the estate.
The Bisol family, has restored the historic
monastery. Maintaining the character and
local tradition of building, the restored
property now offers:
7 self contained apartments plus
2 double rooms with comfortable accommodation
for 18 people, state of the art Boffi
kitchens and bathrooms and a warm, contemporary,
yet, country style atmosphere.
The furnishings are a combination of restored
local antiques, stylish wrought iron bed
frames topped with comfortable mattresses
and fine Italian bed linens. There is
a practical inclusion of modern
lighting and responsive, individually
controlled central heating and
a combination of steam showers,
hydromassage baths with chromotherapy
options to enhance the comfort level.
Ideal for
family reunions, weddings or friends weekends
away together or for independent travelers
seeking individual experiences in unexplored
surroundings.
